Elizabeth Fry Toronto provides a broad range of counselling services to women who have been, or are at risk of being in conflict with the law.
*All our programs provide language interpreters free of cost through the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic

General Counselling Services
Provides one-on-one and group counselling supports and workshops to women in the community dealing with a broad range of social, economic and justice disadvantages. Through these services, women are provided with timely, accurate information pertaining to their legal rights, health and safety and alternatives to at-risk behaviours. Some of the counselling programs include:
- Healing from abuse & trauma
- Parenting
- Anger management
- Theft and fraud
- Domestic/gender-based violence
- Substance use

Reintegration
Counselling Service
Provides one-on-one and group counselling for women on provincial probation and parole. Using a harm reduction framework, clients are provided with the skills and resources necessary to develop alternatives to theft, fraud, substance use behaviours, and poor decision-making.

TREM SS (Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Model Standing Strong)
TREM SS aims to address/prevent dating violence against women identified survivors of gender based or family violence. The program will provide trauma informed psychoeducational group counselling and individual counselling support to women ages 16-29. Groups will be available to participants ages 16-19 and 20-29 respectively. TREM Standing Strong is guided by the Trauma Recovery Empowerment Model (TREM) an evidence-based recovery intervention. We welcome women who represent marginalized populations, including 2SLGBTQI+, Indigenous, Black and racialized communities, newcomers/refugees, and people living with disabilities.
This program will also provide Youth Dating Violence (YDV) training and knowledge sharing opportunities to interested community service organizations.
