Direct Accountability at College Park Court

This program provides alternatives to prosecution for individuals charged with minor criminal offences.

Court Support

Volunteers provide practical and emotional support to women and their families navigating court systems. Our volunteers assist with referrals, information, and resources. We also provide free snacks, clothing, and personal hygiene products to women who have been released on bail.

The Market Place

The Market Place is a FREE personalized shopping experience for women who are marginalized, particularly those who have been recently released from incarceration. Volunteers help shoppers choose outfits and build confidence. Volunteers also provide emotional support connecting women to relevant resources.

The Market Place is open to Elizabeth Fry Toronto clients and residences Monday to Wednesday by appointment. On Thursdays, we open the Market Place for drop-in appointments from 10:00-3:00- anyone in need is welcome to shop.

Talk and Listen Phone Line

Getting access to information and resources while in prison is challenging - our Talk & Listen volunteers are here to help. We work with callers as they navigate the criminal justice system by offering information and resources related to legal information, housing, mental health services, reintegration, release planning, and more - all with a listening and compassionate ear. Please note, we do not make third party calls, or call on anyone’s behalf.

Social-Recreational Program at Vanier Centre for Women

Volunteers offer bi-weekly social programming and help organize recreational events for women incarcerated at Vanier. Volunteers also provide women with information and resources about Elizabeth Fry Toronto and other supports available to them in the community.
